Marilyn Sue Harmon-Taylor of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this world on July 23rd, 2017 at Clarehouse of Tulsa after a courageous, inspiring forty year battle with Multiple Sclerosis

She was born March 14th, 1954 to John and Virginia (Casteel) Harmon. They resided in Sapulpa Oklahoma with her older brother Jimmy until moving to Broken Arrow in the sixties. She graduated from Broken Arrow High School as one of the valedictorians of her class.

 She met and fell in love with Kenny Taylor after working alongside his mother at Metropolitan Life Insurance. They married in November 1979.

 In August 1982 they welcomed their only child, Christina.

 Marilyn spent her time as a devoted mother, wife and follower of Christ. She attended Southpark Community Church. She lived her life to help others, even when her health continued to decline.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Lieutenant Kenneth Allan Taylor of the Broken Arrow Police Department in 2001, her father John Harvey Harmon Jr in 1997 and her mother Virginia Rosa Casteel in 2000.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Dawn Nelson, son-in-law David Rhue Nelson & Grand-daughter Kamryn Faith Nelson. Brother Jim Harmon, along with her mother-in-law Geneal Taylor. She was blessed with several cousins, nieces & nephews who survive her as well.

 The family asks for donations to be made to Clarehouse (www.clarehouse.org) where she lived the last 2 months of her life in the care of the most devoted nurses, volunteers & staff with the help of New Century Hospice.
