John was born November 5, 1953 and passed away June 17, 2011 from cancer. He was 57 years old. He was residing in Bartlesville, OK. John is survived by his wife Kathy and four children, Gary, Daniel, Sheena, and Valorie
John Carleton Hayes of Bartlesville, OK passed away at his home on the morning of June 17, 2011 at the age of 57. John was born on Nov. 5, 1953, in Tulsa, OK, to James and Eileen Hayes. After being selected as Valedictorian at Broken Arrow High School in 1972, he attended OSU as a Beta Theta Pi and later graduated from NSU with a double major in Computer Sciences and Mathematics. Although he worked endlessly as a software analyst for ConocoPhillips, he devoted all his spare time to his family and volunteer work as a coach and active board member to area youth baseball. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy; sons Gary Aultman and Daniel Hayes; daughters Sheena Hayes and Valorie Aultman; sisters Connie Hayes, Regina Hill, Lorna Belmore, and Keli Hayes; three special sisters Sheila Barwick, Winona Lawson, and Rhonda Vanmeter among numerous other aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews; cousins and friends.
Formal visitation with the family will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home, Monday evening from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at East Cross United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 1:00 PM under the direction of Rev. Scott McCrary, with internment following after at Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations directed to the John Hayes Benefit Fund at Banc First in honor of him will be graciously accepted.
